In
these days, we live in a world that have many problems, both local and global.
We have to solve our own problems. We should not depend on others. Of course to
resolve that problem we need an education first. This time I want to describe
my concrete ideas for an ideal education to solve our problem.
Education
does not have to come from school. We can read any literature to increase knowledge.
But, not everyone can understand the purpose of the literature that he/she
read. Therefore we need mentors to taught us about what is inside that
literature. Then a school was created for students who want to study. In Indonesia,
the government make sure the education is free for 9 years. Indonesia is
consist of many levels of education. There are TK, SD , SMP or junior high
school, and SMA or senior highschool. After senior high school, we can continue
our study to college. So what kind of education that can build a better future
for all ? An education can be successful if it meets a number of factors, namely
in terms of the way teachers teach, the proximity of the teacher with his
students, and of course from the students himself. The are some important
lessons to be mastered. I will explain one by one to you.
Firstly,
a teacher need to know how to teach student. He/she must understand the nature
of each of his/her students. Because if his students like the way the teachers
teach, students will enjoy learning and would understand what the teacher
teaches. If students understand, they can use it for every day life. Secondly,
the important thing was proximity of the teacher with his students. Students
will feel comfortable if the teacher was kind, considerate, and not killer.
Then, the student also should study as much as possible to reach success. And
lastly are some important lessons to be mastered. Character education is the
most important thing in education. Knowledge are nothing if we don’t have
character. Also our mind could be made chaotic in debate or works if we don’t have
good character. Character also can determine our success in future. Then after
character we must have knowledge. We can be accepted in any place if we have knowledge.
We can also solve any problems in our life if we have knowledge. We can also be
a good leader because with knowledge we can manage many things. But in order to
become a successful leader we need a leadership education. Leadership is needed
because we can influence people to become better. We can solve even a complex
problem with leadership, we will also be honored if we have leadership.
